If your license was revoked due to excessive alcohol for the first time, you may request an early reinstatement from the Department of Motor Vehicles after one month of no driving. In order to qualify, you will need to have an Ignition Interlock Device installed in every vehicle you drive for eight months, two years if your BAC was over .170.
